Forbes Forward! Grassfarmers Sharing Knowledge to Better Attend to our Diverse Pastures

Join Vermont Grassfarmers Association members for field-based learning conversations focused on how to best care for forbes and thriving diverse pastures and silvopastures.

Green Mountain Girls Farm is tiny yet has a patchwork of easy to reach plots enhanced via use of the Vermont Ripsower, as well as newly established forage zones using diverse “bioprimed” seed mixes and hay mulch.

In addition to playing offense and adding chickory and improved varieties of plantain etc. to diversify and enrich forage we will contemplate options and opportunities for defending against aggressive monoculture plants in our newly established and evolving pasture zones.
