Stay on a Working Vermont Farm
If you appreciate…
Vermont’s pastoral beauty,
playful antics of farm animals,
the inspiration of 160-year old hand-hewn beams,
gardens and the grounded humility of a working farm,
peaceful forest trails and mountain streams,
the sweet smell of hay, and
quick access to Interstate 89 in the center of Vermont,
…you may just want to stay at the Green Mountain Girls Farm!
The Farmhouse Inn
The Farmhouse Inn, a three-bedroom luxurious vacation space, complete with gourmet kitchen, incredible views and spacious living areas is a wonderful retreat for small or larger groups or as a launching pad for skiing and exploring Vermont. It is available for your Vermont getaway generally Mid-October through May. See our Availability Calendar on VRBO.
Each stay includes a starter basket of farm fresh food, which will generally include eggs, milk, some of our pasture-raised meats or other seasonal treats. Our farmstand is stocked and available for guests seeking to purchase sustainably raised meats and veggies for cooking or taking home.
What to Expect?
The new Farmhouse was finished in 2012 and includes three bedroom suites on two floors. It comfortably sleeps six people. The farmhouse is for rent in its entirety which includes a gourmet kitchen perfect for cooking up farm fresh food; two living rooms, a dining room and two wonderful porches that provide great views of the farm. The main floor has a gorgeous stone masonry heater to warm up the winter days and the lower level living room has a wood stove.
The house and kitchen are fully equipped with everything you need for a great stay including linens, towels, wireless internet and ample flat-screen televisions and satellite tv for enjoying movies after hiking, skiing or cooking.
The Barn Guest House
The Barn Guest House space is a private 2 floor “apartment” in the finished section of the barn. The sleeping quarters are upstairs. There is one large room with the main space comfortably appointed with a queen-size bed, augmented with a twin daybed. The adjacent lounge area faces east and has great views of the farm. For larger groups, step up the antique ladder to the loft above the queen bed (see photo) for additional sleeping spots—another twin bed and a double bed on the floor of the loft. The corner nook in the knee wall provides a twin futon perfect for kids.
The farmhouse-style full kitchen, full bathroom, and great room below are exclusively yours during your stay.
Linens, towels, and an equipped kitchen are all provided. There is also a washer and dryer available for your use. Wireless internet is complimentary and we have strong cell phone reception.
